Nostrarus Darmus is like the bible, its how you want it to read and what you accually believe.....
Personally i think Nostrarus Darmus is FOS.....
and my belief in the bible is short of that...
i'm not knocking religion, we all have beliefs and we all need something to look up to...
but we know thru science that we evolved and were not just created, we know the flood and noah were true, but it was not the whole globe, we know jesus was true and looked like everyother middle eastern person and not like a hippy from the 60's
My beliefs and my God might be different from yours, but he still exists...
I'm not trying to cause an argument in this reply, but more a "different light"
Who is my god?????
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh now there is a question

Report: U.S. 'preparing the battlefield' in Iran
Report: U.S. 'preparing the battlefield' in Iran - CNN.com[/QUOTE]
Rick, I hope so too, but I suspect the reason for invading Iran, much like the reason for invading Iraq, is securing the control of oil reserves for the US, rather than US security / threat of nuclear weapons / sponsoring terrorism / any other excuses put forward by the administration.
Feasibility studies for a US intervention to secure oil have been investigated soon after the Arab oil embargo of the early 70's, so the concept is far from new. With the rate of recoverable oil reserve discoveries rapidly dicreasing, and the rate of oil demand rapidly increasing, compared to say 20 years ago, I wouldn't be surprised i nthe slightest if the US invaded Iran on some pretext or another, especially if republicans get re-elected.
[Edit] - hmmm... on reading the article, is seems the current administration is not so confident about its re-election prospects, and wants to do the job right while they have the chance. Article states "President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney (both big oil men) have rejected findings from U.S. intelligence agencies that Iran has halted a clandestine effort to build a nuclear bomb". Did someone say pretext? Next lot of WMDs? I hope the bastards dont get away with it!!
And no, I don't think it would be a good idea, in theory or otherwise, to invade Iran, unless you take a page out of Machiavelli's book and plan to exterminate its entire population. The "islamic based problems" have been a direct result of foreign meddling in the region over the last 40 years, in the interests of controling oil. There's been conflict in the region ever since Anglo-Persian oil company (now BP) started extracting in 1909. US and Britain nearly went to war with each other over oil in the early 20th century, and major powers have clashed in the region for a better part of the last century.
No matter who controlls the oil, the people suffer. Leaders and dictators favourable to the powers of the day are propped up and supported from abroad in exchange for acting in their interests. Meanwhile, the people suffer.
For the last 20 years, the power of the day has been the US. Once the "leaders" stop acting in the US interests, (as they inevitably do) they suddenly become "evil doers" and we have a war to get rid of them (and install fresh puppets). After all, both Saddam and bin Laden were trained and supported by the US! ... and so the cycle continues...
When oppressed, people look for someone to blame. Rightly or wrongly, the finger has been pointed to the US, and more generally, its Western allies in the "war against terror". Which by the way is starting to look more and more like "war for oil".
Violence in the region only breeds more violence a.k.a. "islamic based problems", and if anything, invasion of Iran will only lead to more supporters of terrorism and more recruits in their ranks.
In terms of the future of oil prices, if the US does invade Iran, they will bear large costs protecting "their" oil in Iran, and those costs will be passed onto the end users... us. Oh, and the instability in the region is going to rattle financial markets, and the price of oil is going to soar even more, making todays prices look like bargains in comparison.
