    Kerrrrr-splattttt!

The lads in town sent us over another present the other night...a mortar barrage and, they missed again, no-one hurt.

When they do send us such stuff there has to be a battle-field clearance done to ensure there are no residual UXO's. This is what we found:

No...the thong was not from a victim.

A point detonated 82mm HE mortar round:

    Certainly swept the place clean:

LOL...would'nt you like to shout out...BAAANG!!:

I think I can see another thong in the background of that first pic, BBC. If your real quick you might be able to score it and get yourself a matching pair before one the locals snaps them up.

I take it that the ground is as hard as concrete.

If you run short of thongs there are an lot of them wash up on the beaches here

No need unless you are fussy. The clientele at Inala Social Security office normally used mismatched thongs.

    Pakistan Floods

    Hi folks

I've just returned from the recent Australia - Pakistan Assist mission where we helped over 11,000 people affected by the floods in the Punjabi province.

    Here's how we got there:

And this is what it looked like from the air in September:

Some other traffic on the road:

We deployed these inflatable tents for our medical centre:

    Inside a treatment ward:

And here are some of the Landies I spotted around the place:

    Pakistan Floods

    Grommit,

Thanks so very much mate. By all accounts a job done well, with a long way still to go. I have a couple of mates who are working in there with the reconstruction efforts towards roads and bridging.

Glad you got there and back again safely.

    Cheers,

    BBC
