Been answering a raft of overnight e-mails that came seeking assurance that I was not tangled up in the blast that attacked the Ministry of Health yesterday.

We heard the 'Whooomp!'...got up onto a roof and could see the dust cloud. It was about 3k's away and on one of the routes we use to move on.

Then, we had to assist with setting up an increased triage area down at the AMISOM hospital and the airport...it was a busy day.

Hopefully, such inhumane acts will decidely set the Somali people up against Al Shabaab and get them what they deserve, a right bollocking....time will tell.

Had to g down to the Uruba Hotel this AM to assess what is and what needs to be there. We can only imagine what must have been with what, historically, was a prestigious hotel overlooking an ancient harbour:

It must have been a lovely place years ago, looks like a ghost town now,
that hotel is only a form without any substance.

I am living not far from where some of the Asylum seekers are housed in Brighton, Tasmania. ( I think its about 400 and mostly men )
With this in mind I tend to watch news reports and postings like yours to get an understanding of what problems has brought these people here.

better get down and buy myself a piece of beachfront!! Believe me, that is not hard to do. Need to be a citizen, though that ain't hard ....you can buy a passport for $150.

In the horizon, on the right hand side is a tower or spire,
It appears to be unscathed, was the damage confined only to the waterfront area?
