Thread: Employment Opportunities

This is a photo taken of Kabul city, from the hill overlooking Share-naw. I used to work from a compound near the base of this hill, more to the right. At the time, I was living at the foot of the hill on the right of the photo. This was in a suburb called Parte-Karwan. I hated driving the to and fro each day, armoured up, packing an M4 and Glock on safe as you drove. The traffic in the streets are nothing less than chaotic. I saw the aftermath of a couple of bombs, thankfully we were never targeted but, that was more a matter of luck:



This is the 'Welcome' sign as you enter Kabul Province from the south...lets you know you are in a 'special place'.

Hmm would not be able to get them registered here in Aussie, too many things hanging off them which could damage a pedestrian who strays onto the road. But you would win the argument for the parking spot!!

Yes LSBob, and methinks you might need a different set of licences too:

- a drivers licence
- a gun licence...for a couple of breeds
- a rocket licence

Don't you love the placement of the Light Armoured Weapon (LAW) there over the wheel arch, just within passenger reach. I have often thought of how much advantage such a set up would give me in Melbourne traffic.

I am rendered almost speechless by your pics and posts!! Can't stop looking at them. The one that shows the view over the hill with the city below and the twinkling lights in the distance is so moving to me. Well I'll shut up now. But thanks so much for taking the time to share all of this. WOW!!!

BBC!, Heads up!...Gonna impart some knowledge to you....as a Husband to a female for 30 years and the Father of 5 females (Ages range from 29 to 8), I speak with some authority on the subject.
