You're a brave man, Dave: it's not easy to put it all out there.
I don't know if I could have done that. Thank you for sharing.
I hope writing is ultimately cathartic, as traumatic as it is right now.

Here, we will support you. You've helped so many of us on here that we'll gladly reciprocate.
    Just let us know how.

No sure where you are living at the moment but if you're anywhere near Brisbane give us a shout.
That was my mistake... I asked for the help, I admitted to the problems I was having. I even accepted the help they offered... I even tried the external stuff VVCS and DCO...

their response? Thats a defense matter, we cant help you with that.

The internal help after the darwin debarcle? They offered exactly the same thing that the unit had already offered me. and when they finally got round to delivering any of it.. Medical turned it all off again.

The attached document is out of sequence to how I wanted to put it but... Dispite all of that, having fought my own problems to resolution and fixing that stress I only had the unusual stressor of being restricted from working being the only thing keeping me down and the end result of that being the reason they kept the restrictions in place long enough for this to start...

This document, this is how I was this is what I was capable of delivering, and I'm going to be honest, I didnt think I was doing that well myself I even gave the sarge the microsoft "Are you sure?" check before I signed his part....

in the middle of fighting through what would be effectively 18ish months of the worst possible thing that I've ever experienced, being held back from doing what Im best capable of, what makes me truely happy I delivered what it said on the can to the following standard.

    Fare D 8235714 AE519 2016 PPR.pdf

And I produced that while being held back from being able to perform key aspects of my Job.

Mate I'm hearing ya.......I would look at other avenues than anything organization related to or connected with the defence force......I gave up battling with them.

I don't know what to say Dave, even though we have only met once at your old home at Ipswich when I first started building Ralph and Smeg, I have always liked reading your posts as they have been incredibly informative and there is always a funny side to what you post. I have only just come across this today and mate, I have been ****ing myself laughing whilst reading some of your stories earlier on in this piece. By reading the attached, it looks like your superiors have your back with the powers that be and I hope you get to stay in the job you love and also hope you get the promotion. As the others have said, we all hope you get through this and if there is anything you need, by all means, all you have to do is ask.
    Regards Ian

Hang in there Dave. You've got a LOT of people out there who still give a damn. If you need a place to crash/talk stuff through when you get back over this neck of the woods, give me a yell. Beers are on me.

Geez Dave, as others have said, it must have been tough to write that, but I hope it was also helpful to work through it.
I only know you through your posts, but clearly you are a high quality person.
I can only imagine how you are feeling, so all I can say is I feel for you.
If you ever want to talk with an expert listener, I'm available. I'll PM my mobile. Please call any time, and I mean any time.
You are a person of great worth. No doubt all your problems are real. However, the answer is not the problems. The answer is your personal vision for your future. Don't let anyone try to distract you from your vision of you.
Call any time, if you wish.

Know that you are appreciated by many good people (and me, as well :-D )
Hang in there, Mate, we're all backing you up.

Mate, they don't know what they lost. Blokes of your calibre don't appear often. But, as Weeds says, you have to get over that and forget Defence. It's a machine, and it doesn't care. Being a good ADF Member isn't your job anymore, so let it go.

Your job, right now, is to make sure that you are as good a man as you can be, so that when Brad needs you, and believe me, Dave, he will, you are there for him. There is NO more important role in your life, and there is NOBODY who can take that away from you.

Keep up with "The Book". It's quite a journey. Stay brave. Remember a little boy.

I apologise, Dave. Didn't know there were two boys. Alex needs you as well. I have a grandson named Alex. Good name. Mine is the "Destroy" half of "Search and Destroy". The "Search" half is Ben, Alex's older brother. Come and meet them at Wombat.
