That nut,I know only too wellbeing the owner of a RRC and a D1 makes one wonder if the designing engineer had ever tried to fit or remove these.
A bit like some road markings,look OK on paper in a design office![]()

The heater core in a RRC! Seems like you have to dismantle the whole car to get to it. Did mine a year ago and now the fan has seized

After coming from an 80 series landcruiser with a 1HZ I hate how tightly packed everything is in the D3 for doing any maintenance work. But Im sure any newer model car is very similar as well so its not really a specific LR issue. I guess I just need to get used to loosing more bark of the hands than normal![]()

I'm about 6'1" in the old language, and my right knee rests against the front rh metal piece of the door handle. On long trips it gets bloody sore, and I have resorted to using a piece of adhesive rubber padding. Works fine but very annoying placement.
D4 2.7litre
The "hidden bolt" on a Td5 fuel pressure reg. (D2) is the worst I've struck so far.
