Many of you here think I'm all over bad spellers. I'm not. I usually only comment on spelling where (a) the person makes a spelling error whilst correcting someone else, (b) where we can have some fun without offending, or (c) where the spelling makes a real difference to the understanding.
I often go in and correct spelling to clarify stuff (or to ensure something will come up in a later search) but I don't have time nor the inclination to fix everything

OK I understand SMS text stands for Short Message Service (or is it system?) text otherwise known as text speech. There again I have no idea what L33t stands for! Would someone care to enlighten me please?
The vast majourity of us makes spelling mistakes/typos and can make errors in grammar but the main point is do we manage to convey the basic message clearly and easily to the vast majority of people? If not then you have failed to communicate and the post is meaningless!
One of the minor problems I have with grammar is the distinction between then and than. For some reason I have a blind spot with the use of them.
People misspell and use bad grammar for many reasons varying from dyslexia, low intelligence, low chronological age, not being fluent in English to being from a different 'English' speaking culture e.g. USA v UK v Australia

Have just google L33t and found
L33t or Eleet (sometimes rendered leet, 1337, or 31337), also known as Leetspeak, is an alphabet used primarily on the Internet, which uses various combinations of ASCII characters to replace Latinate letters. The term is derived from the word "elite", and the usage it describes is a specialized form of symbolic writing. Different "dialects" or varieties of leet are found on different online forums.
Example sentence: L337 15 4 c0mm0n 1n73rn37 5p34k 4m0n9 r34l h4Xo12
English rendering: Leet is a common internet speak among real hackers.
Example sentence: wh0 8 MY 54|\|DW1cH!?
English rendering: Who ate my sandwich!?
May I strongly suggest to the moderators that if anyone uses L33t on here that the post is deleted on the grounds that it would fail to communicate easily and clearly to the majority of users on here.

to be honest I have never seen anyone on here type like that!!!
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
Thank god for that!
They'd be too busy playing World of Warcraft to spend time on LR forums![]()
You know what nobody gives a s**t about who is good and not good at spelling in forums this is not the spelling bee forum or am I mistaken ? It's also considered discrimination and ban able on other forums for complaining and picking on ones spelling as members are on forums to have a good time and make friends not enemies over stupid little problems over how much more educated another is.
Some of us just type to quick or forget to where our glasses or a very tired and error occur.
Get over it and live with it as you could be picking on someone who has had in issue with learning from childhood which makes you a tiny little pathetic man.
or tiny pathetic woman
