    My missus gives me wierd looks when I buy militaria off eBay, but she never complains and even offered to chip in for Ambrose!

    She spends hers, I spend mine, we go 50:50 in joint purchases and hence we get 50:50 input in the decision.

    Easy.

    a mate has done the same thing several times..... his missus has given up

    1973 XY Fairmont GT - wife didnt know till the eldest daughter drove it home
    1982 Mustang GT - wife got told the day before it turned up on the truck
    1982 XE Fairmont Ghia ESP - wife still wouldnt know if my mate had been able to drop it off at the shed on the way to a doctors appointment instead of dropping it off at the house

    theres been others but i cbf remembering the details, she's given up yelling at him and he figures its easier to get forgiveness than permission!

    Mmmm,

    Maybe the problem is it is not really a tractor.

    Maybe if it was an Isuzu you would have more luck.

    Just sitting in my Stage 1 at idle puts a smile on the Generals dial

    Smile aulro members are the best

    swmbo heard me laughing at some of the threads. So in the interest of keeping my domestic bliss I have been instructed to "tell it how it really is"
    everything about the tractor is true
    she doesn't spend money, actually hates shopping
    does everything around the house
    cooks well
    cleans well
    Cant really complain about her at all, except her dislike of landy's
    thank you to all
    especially those who mentioned jewellery

    Well I'm lucky. Mine wanted a D90 because "it was cute". I said no, not practical. And she preferred a Defender over a Patrol "because the Defender is a real 4WD" and she drives it around town no probs.

    i'm one of the lucky ones too -
    she only wants a new car because the steering on the series 3 is too heavy, and she'll be happy with either a Jimny or a D90;
    thinks Japanese 4x4's are for "soccer mums";
    was once the captain of a professional Jelly Wrestling team;
    works part time and does most of the housework "so she feels like she's contributing equally";
    doesn't spend much and doesn't mind where i spend mine (so long as it's occasionally on her);
    does minimum 2 hours exercise a day, as well as being a qualified personal trainer and getting me off my lazy butt (no mean feat!);
    and has on more than one occasion gleefully stripped to her knickers to help dig Jezebel out of the mud... I think it's the wrestling training coming out again... (and she wonders why I keep getting stuck!)
