    That's why I prefer electric brakes - not that you had much time to react.

    I don't think in this case the type of brakes would have made any difference - or even whether the brakes were on or off!

    nah, the caravan just like us in the car were just along for the ride. and it was interesting

    In those slippery conditions even ABS makes no difference. Even tho it didn't help, the right thing was to apply power as you did. I had it once in an RRC going down a hill with super slippery mud. I just touched the brakes and then had no control at all, sliding straight toward a fence. Just a little power got me enough control to at least give the slide a bit of direction and then I just let it roll until I got to a better part of the track.

    Good to see there was no damage - apart from to your pride at being towed out by a 'Cruiser!
