If you've never heard Highway Star, Smoke on the Water or Space Truckin' in 4 channel you're missing out on something.
I used to have a quadraphonic eight track player in the car. It did sound good but technically it is not realistic sound.
When you are at a live concert sound is only coming from the front.
I suspect this is why quadraphonic never took off.

As for the vinyl, I still have all mine but haven't had a turntable for 25 years. It was only recently I was talking about selling them.

All my LP's are in pristine condition as I was very fussy. I would purchase a new album and I would then copy it onto a cassette, so they have only been played once, and are all in a plastic sleeve to protect the covers.

Buy yourself a turntable and listen to them again...unless you want to make some dollars on some pristine records...put them in markets then

I have a Thorens TD125 turntable, SME arm, and Shure V15 cartridge.

I must use them to transfer my vinyl to CD - one day.

What about 16 RPM? I've never see one but I've seen decks capable of playing them.
