    So its not one that crossed the continent but was used in thier later TV docco's.
    Even then not for long,as the Leylands dumped Landies in favour of Jeeps pretty quickly - no doubt a cash incentive was involved.
    Sorry, but I can't see what the fuss is about.

    the leyland DVD's are reguarly on ebay and there is a heap of them including ask the leyland brothers from the 70's with the VW campers
    the one in the birdwood meuseum was donated by Mal Leyland (dec) which is documented in the east-west crossing DVD at the end
    last word is mike was aeound the Glenn Innes way

    owning it is like owning a peice of history

    I think it was Mike that is deceased, and Mal is around Glen Innes.

    Only the coolest TV doco series ever, and with the coolest vehicles ever. IIRC, the wagon, AYI 077, had the longer spring hangers like the army 2As and water tanks in the front mudguards. The table top was AYI 056?

    I may post some pics of the interior latter. Looks fairly straight but rust is a worry The resent owner has done a bit and I'd say has had a respray at some stage. Some originality may have been lost and has no Leyland Brothers decals etc. I'd say not as special as the Series 1 posted earlier.
