Hello.I`ve recently made a over head console for my ute.The ute part is series3 land rover.I used aluminium and will be covering it with marine carpet. This will both blend it in with the rest of the interior decor and hide the slightly home built look it has now.You can achieve a good fold by simply clamping the sheet between a piece of angle and a bench with a sharp edge. Then with a bit of paitence gently work it over by taping with a soft hammer along the sheet.Trick is to not bend to far at any point.I now have the uhf and radio mounted in the console.I found that the series 3 dash was not deep enough for them and it would have been i the way of the vents. The only problem I have with the conole is it tends to be fairly close ,but the ute cab is quite narrow,so not much I can do a bout it.
