    interesting you should say that we have the old plastic one and found there was not enough air circulation and took too long to cook or went out so we bought the mesh one heaps better and have never had any trouble with it

    would it work without the black base....?
    i might try it without the base to see if it cooks any quicker......

    I think you need the base for air circulation...didn't you say you had the mesh base??

    no...ive got one of the first ones.......

    with the black plastic base.......


    if it cooks slower.....it would be better for roasting.......but i cant really try
    that till i get the roasting rack for it......

    I don't have a roasting rack I just put the roast and vegies on the flat one with all the holes in it cooks perfectly

    roast is just about done now......

    works a treat.....im going to go heat up the gravy......while the meat rests.....
    and then enjoy a nice roast with the kids.......the missus misses out cos she had to go to work.......



    cooked it straight on the plate without any burning or sticking.......and its all very moist in there as well......






    im still after some accessories if anyone has any for sale..........
