I’ve brought shame on the group.. I got bogged last weekend in hawks nest NSW and needed a land cruiser to pull me out. It’s well known to me to be very soft sand there, we got around all over the place for a couple of days and then this one spot we just sunk with no hope of getting out. Tyres at 14 PSI and suspension to extended height.
The first cruiser got stuck as well but eventually brought out by the second one in the background.
    Oh the shame.

I got the defender bogged in the same spot! Was fine everywhere else and thought "i'll just have a quick look on this beach" and got bogged. The hilux that tried to pull me out also got bogged. Got myself out with the tracks though. Yet to try the D3 on the beach.

I fitted my nudge bar last week, and this weekend, the driving lights went on, along with 2 black Anderson plugs.
The driver side plug goes to the aux batt and can be used to plug in my ARB compressor (or sanything else). I can also plug in my solar panels to charge the battery as well. It is a Traxide system, so it looks after itself.
The Passenger side plug goes direct to the main starter battery and can either power something, or have a solar panel hooked up to it.
Both are protected by 40 amp fuses.

With the rash of people mounting their Engels between the 2 rear seats, I decided to join the club today.
Remove six T45 bolts to remove the (heavy) center seat.
Replace 2 of then (the middle ones, and you don't want dust or water coming in the holes.
Fit 4 x M10 tie down rings (from Bunnings at about $3 each) into the 4 remaining holes.
Fit fridge, and tie it down.
All in all, less than an hour to do.
The fridge acts as an armrest for anyone in the back.

Even with the rear seat backs down, they are not too high compared to the fridge, and it opens up the whole rear area for more "stuff"!

All I have in the back now is my Thumper aux battery.

Good idea having power input and output so conveniently located.

Is that a ECB 63mm nudge bar?
