Yes - got it on ebay brand new from a guy who bought it for his D1 and discovered it didn't fit - doh!

    New Nuts!

After 12 months of putting it off, I pulled out the el cheapo 4WD Supercenter impact driver and changed all my original Land Rover nuts over to solid ones.
Can't see any difference, but at least I know they are done.
Then torqued everything up to 140nm.
Will check the nuts tightness over the next week to make sure they stay done up.

By solid do you mean wheel nuts without the rattly Caps? If so, where from please? That'd be bloody awesome.

Yes, solid ones. I collected them on a trip to the US earlier this year, but ordered them on Fleabay.
The description was 20 Chrome 14x1.5 Lug Nuts for Land Rover Factory Aluminum Wheels - Mag Seat and they came from a mob called dpaccessories.
From memory they were under US$50 and no shipping as I brought them home in my luggage.

Picked up a D4 HSE about a year ago to take over from the D2a I'd had for the last 5 years. It's been a sensational tow mule for my other toy and the performance compared to the D2 is incredible. Looking forward to getting it out in the wild soon once I get the tyres changed up.

Cheers! That'll help heaps when I get to looking at it.

Same as has been covered in the forum a few times. A Rhino Platform 1528x1236. Narrower than size Rhino recommended on their website for the D4, but looks better. Consequence of going narrower is more difficult access to the bolts on the legs to the rails, which are normally accessed from above with a hex key. I replaced the bolts and use a ratchet wrench and fitting is now a one man 5 minute job. Other advice is to use shorter legs than the ones recommended. So Rhino part#s 42100B for the rack, RLTP for the legs. Not cheap though - $900 including fitting from Roof Rack City, late 2016.

Endless accessories from Rhino to carry whatever you want. Given the 75kg dynamic roof limit (including rack weight), just the right size for me for the 2nd spare, shovel, treds and a commando case. Awning if you wantetd to.

Almost silent. Very happy with it.

    Hope this helps.
