Thanks for that. My D4 is MY14 - TOPIx tells me Hi Line audio system, so Harman Kardon it is ?

No the Hi-Line system in a MY14 D4 is a Meridian system. It changed after MY12 I understand.

I have installed a reversing camera into a MY14. Check out this thread.

There is a recent thread of someone installing an aftermarket camera onto the Meridian screen. d4-my14-reversing-camera-install.html

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    Smile What system was that

Well there seems to be a bit of confusion regarding when the audio systems changed. I have a MY12 brochure that states that it has a HK system, and there are HK name plates on the door speakers in the interior photos. I have a December MY13D4 HSE (no MY13 brochures available at the dealer when I bought the car, bit much to ask I guess for $100k+) and also has HK name plates on the speaker grills, so I guess it is a HK system. Based on this, perhaps a MY14 change.

Can someone with a MY14 confirm the speakers do or donot have HK name plates.

Very interested in the outcome, thanks. I want to hook up the rear view camera from my van to the screen so I have some more research to do.

    MY13 was Harman Kardon
    MY14 was Meridian

Had both side by side in the driveway last week.

Hi all, I'm kind of cutting in here but trying to pass on a photo that I couldn't PM, user error I suspect?

Anyways it is a photo of the connector on the back of an earlier model D4 touch screen, I think the middle two connectors are for the reversing camera.

    Reversing Camera .. for caravan

Have a Harman Kardon sat/nav system and I want to connect a caravan camera.
My caravan (on order) has a rear camera installed and I was hoping it would be a simple exercise to install a video splitter/switch in the D4 rear camera circuit to enable the caravan camera when required. As a work around I have cable and screen for the first trip home from Melbourne which will enable me to view the traffic "in my dust" as well as a reversing aid however I don't want a 2nd screen stuck to the windscreen as a permanent solution. Very interested in what other have achieved!

If you've already got the nav and camera, perhaps this mob can help: Land Rover from 2012 Reverse Camera + VIM

New to site but came across this thread. Looking at retrofitting a reversing camera on a MY12 D4 with colour touch screen with DVD. Have seen some great earlier advice on same topic but still confused. For all you clever electronic whizzes out there, am I right in thinking that I can wire the camera up at the rear (to the power on the reversing lights I presume), run the cable and 'just' connect it to a pin (the two middle pins as shown on one of the posts) on the back of the touch screen without any interface like a GVIF. Then after 'enabling' it should work just like a bought one coming on to the screen when I select reverse? If so, does anyone have the best place to go (on the WWW as I'm in NZ) for the hardware needed, camera wiring etc? Thanks

Yes is the answer. The camera is actually powered all the time. I'm not sure what looms may already be in place in MY12. If the cable front to back is already there it's a lot easier as you won't have to thread one through the roof lining.

A couple of threads you need to look at to answer this:
DISCO3.CO.UK - View topic - D4 XS wiring for rear camera

    and this thread: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/l319-disco...install-8.html

The parts can be ordered from Duckworths in the uk or similar. There's a list of parts suppliers in the FAQ
