    D4 "oversize" tyres

I am probably looking at replacing the standard 255/60r18 tyres with a set of AT 265/60r18s. Can anyone please tell me who has changed size what impact it has had on the vehicle's on-road handling characteristics?

    D4 'oversize' tyres

    Hi

I am probably looking at replacing the standard 255/60r18 tyres on my TDV6 2.7 with a set of AT 265/60r18s. Can anyone who has changed size please tell me what impact it has had on the vehicle's on-road handling characteristics?

Threads merged. FYI, don't post the same question in multiple areas - the answers get split over the posts.

Plenty of people on here have fitted 265/60x18" tyres to their D3/4's.

I have Cooper AT/3's fitted in that size and they do the job really well both on and off road, plenty of people have had bad experiences with Coopers over the years, but not to many complaints about the new ones like the AT/3's.

    cheers,
    Terry

Picked up my rims from GOE today, and had my oversize 285/60-18 Cooper LTZs fitted.

Cant wait to remove the new look from the tread....but that's a month or so away before I swap the wheels over.

This will be my 6th set of Coopers....so far no issues, flats, etc and plenty of mileage.
