    Gary,

I went access height and -20 on LLAMS. Still drove fine, and turned without rubbing.....but I did not try full lock turn. But transportation height may see it rub.

That is still only access height - the bump stops are lower and where the car goes if there is an issue. With normal size tyres (and a bit larger) the car will still drive albiet lumpily but with much larger tyres the body may just drop down onto the tyres and not able to move at all - a real issue if out in the boonies.

Mine still drive at that height, yes the ride is very poor but the wheels still turn!

    Hi Gary,

I know it's still not transportation height....but from what I have read it's only 20-25mm difference from access with -20mm on LLAMS....but that could be enough to bugger me.

Not that I can see very well at access and -20mm, but it appears that there is still room.

Any ideas if its possible to trigger transportation height ?

Having the 26k service next Friday....maybe I leave the tyres on and get them to drop it and see.

Rich has the same tyres and his posts you will still be right if she goes to the stops.

Most people think that if it is OK at Access height then there will be no issue but the worst case scenario needs to be considered but looks like you are fine.

Brett, have you tried pressing the red button whilst at -20 (extra low) and access height?

Primarily the red button gives extra low when on low or extra high when on high. Extra low + access mode is on or is very close to the bump-stops.

Thanks Graeme....your notes would have said that

That's a pretty neat trick....on top of the LLAMS neat tricks

I shall give it a try tomorrow, but as one of the other guys said, he has been down to his bump stops and been just OK.

About a week ago, I popped into the deli near my home. Two guys pulled up in a hilux and I could hear them talking about how low the disco was and how crappy it would be off road....I was on -20.

When they walked inside I hit the offroad button, and LLAMS +50.

I grabbed my paper and mocha, and hopped back into the disco. They came out, saw the disco 120mm higher than before.....the jaws dropped. A priceless moment.

Well I took my new 285/60-18 Cooper Zeon LTZ's for a sand run.
These tyres have transformed my D4 in soft sand.
I used less throttle as recommended by Gordon which helped, but the D4 felt like I was back in my 33 shod Patrol. It just ate the sand up, and I now have the perfect D4 for me.
Popped the factory tyres back on for town even though the Coopers feel almost as good.
Looking forward now to Israelite Bay over Chrissy, and Callcup in January.
