genuine only. they are dusty but do what they say on the box
some noises come from the condition of the discs, too. on a d3/ rrs i replace rotors and pads as a set. they are a heavy vehicle and they eat brakes, especially if towing or city use. thats just how they are.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
I've used TRW in mine, they work very well. TRW is the manufacturer of the caliper so is classed as OEM.
I got them from Supercheap for about $80, my outer pad was so worn by the time the sensor kicked in that it had scuffed the surface of the disc, so I replaced the discs as well. Used DBA standard rotors.
Remember that if your brake pad wear sensor has come on (ie, the yellow (O) and "Check Brake Pads" on the display), you'll need to replace the sensor too. I bought mine on ebay for about $20.
I also used TRW - very cost effective. Everyone (service people and forum peoples) said the rotors had to be changed as well. Well not so, mine ran true, didn't have deep gouges and were only 1/3 worn (measured by caliper) so I stayed with them and have had no issues. My sensors had not touched the rotors so I used them again - no issues.

SubscriberFor rotors on my 2.7 TDV6 D3, I went to MR Automotive of Redcliffe QLD they ship all over Au, Cost for drilled and slotted was approx $120 per rotor, the pads were $65 a set front or back, a total of $130 for the four wheels. We toe a three ton van so I want aggressive stopping.

SubscriberJC the pads are "RDA" "Extreme" see Rotors & Drums Australia + EBC Brakes, The Big Brakes Company | Products - RDA Brake Pads
Product codes RDX2022SM (front) and RDX2023SM (rear)
I have done 70k using them, they still look good (quick glance) but am doing a service this weekend so will really check them.

MR Automotive quoted $365 for a set of original front pads, does sound correct?
their price for drilled and slotted rotors seemed ok, they stated that they have had to many noise issues with aftermarket.
total price (supply only) for front and rear pads and rotors was over $1,100.
are others having noise problems with aftermarket?
that is for a D4
thanks
Tony
