Will do but it's less than that. It does need a gap to allow the bar to move on corrugations. I'll post more info and a pic after work.

Since they cut the mudguards I'd say once it's done it's done and you'll have to live with it. Who knows maybe my gap isn't enough!

Can you tell me how big the gap is on yours.
    Cheers
I went and checked. Unfortunately I couldn't get to it until after dark so photos I took aren't helpful. To answer your question, the gap going by finger feel and then measuring my finger size is 15mm.

Any WA people interested, the job was not done by ARB. The bar was installed after a roo strike, and the installation was subbed out by the recommended LR panel beater who managed the repairs. They said they were the only people they wanted to use. I was to leave it to them (the panel shop) and they would take responsibility for the install as part of the repairs. As I said I am very pleased with the result, it just looks right.

So who were they? The boss of the panel shop has a thick Italian accent and I thought he said West Coast Towbars, but they are in Rockingham and I reckon he may have said Westcott Towbars as they are much closer in Welshpool. If you need to know for sure, ask Lombardi Brothers panel beaters who hey use.

I've got exactly the same on mine (black ARB Deluxe winch bar on Fuji White D4) - fitted by ARB in Osborne Park, just up the road from Barbagallo.

I'm happy with the job they did installing mine. There's also about a 15mm gap - anything less than that is probably too close. They could possibly have cut the guards / wheel arches a little closer to the bar - I've seen closer fits there than mine, but still not unhappy with what I ended up with.

    Thanks James and BMKal.
I will go back to ARB and see if they can get a closer fit.

When my bar was installed I asked about "the gap". I was advised that if the gap is narrow the movement of the bar cause the wheel arch flairs to pop off.

Now I don't know if that is true, but when I hit a sand dune (pretty hard) and pushed the bar back a little, there was no gap left. I am sure the gap prevented body damage. The installers at OL realigned everything for me. Actually, I don't "mind the gap". No one else seems to notice it either.

from memory...if you read the ARB bullbar fitting instructions, they say remove flare and cut..bend in support tab and paint the section black.

once painted black, you dont notice the shadow line at all.

Mine has been finished with black plastic trim where they did the cut. Gap is about 15mm as I said and I def would not think it could be less than that.

    I received the same.

But I certainly wouldn't be interested in one of those bars. I've seen them close up and I know what they cost.
