I have a 2011 d4 with touch screen and reversing camera. The lines are on the screen however they do not bend.

    Two questions:
    1) would buying the latest camera be interchangeable and therefore give me the bendy lines?
    2) I do not have an option to bring up the cameras without being in reverse gear, however I can go into the secret screen and get it that way. Is there a way this can be changed in the CCF? Is. Add it as a menu item
    1) The bendy lines only came in when the Meridian audio system was introduced. The camera has a CANBUS connection so it can plot the lines. I presume your MY11 D4 will not have the CANBUS connection in the wiring, or the ECU to drive it.

    2) I do not believe you can select the camera itself in the pre Meridian system.

Way back in this thread somewhere we did confirm that you can get bendy lines without the surround camera setup BUT I think (haven't spent the $400 to prove it and probably won't) this needs the later version of the camera as mentioned above.

    Post Camera

I have a 2013 HSE with static reverse lines and would like to upgrade to bendy reverse lines. It looks like I need to upgrade my camera. Can any please provide part number. Also do I need to upgrade any firmware or change any ccf settings.
    Regards

Some time early in the life of MY14 D4's, the camera has changed from LR023365 (superseded by LR043493) to LR051728- which I assume is the CAN bus connected version... I haven't been able to verify this or find a picture yet.

For the camera part number, this is what my research tells me (it's around $400 plus shipping from UK). Don't know the answer re CCF or firmware.. You may also need a loom change in the tailgate for the CANBUS connection from camera to top of load area.

The car has the HK stereo. How does the stereo make a difference?

    surround

That makes sense. Did the surround camera have bendy lines? If so could I add the surround module?

With a big enough check book you can do anything!!

But, you have to ask your self, are the bendy lines worth it?
