Did you sight the other end of the video feed under the console?

and another novice question. I have a 2009-2012 Workshop Manual on CD I bought off ebay. (mostly the same but not always... it shows the camera connector as 4 pin) What's the best way to get my hands on workshop manual, parts manual and wiring diagrams for my MY14?
I haven't sighted the other end of the video feed under the centre console (I haven't had a good look either), I have just noted its location in the TOPIx diagrams.

To my knowledge the only way to get MY14 workshop data is by subscribing to TOPIx. All of the workshop information, instructions and wiring diagrams than you could imagine are there and can be downloaded as PDFs.

Unfortunately I cannot attach a PDF here of the reverse camera wiring diagram. If you would like to PM me your email address, I am happy to send them to you.

    Regards,

    Chris, I don't suppose you've thought about front camera(s)?

Surround and front cameras requires the camera control module under the front passenger seat, which mine does not have. I would like to work out a way though to access a video feed when not in reverse so I could connect up one of my spare cameras to either point forwards or a high rear position so I could monitor a trailer or provide a rear view from a caravan etc.

Does your MY15 have surround cameras?

No I opt not to get it and wish I had now. The main thing I'd like though is one on the front. It came standard with rear camera and that can be on when not in reverse. I've been meaning to check under the seat for the camera control module.

Tell me more. With a "factory" camera setup, can you access the camera anytime from a button on the touch screen, say like the 4x4 screen? I would be interested to know if you have the control module under the passenger seat, though I don't think you will if you only have the rear camera.

Might be time to go sifting through the CCF again..... :-)

    Cheers,

sorry lads, the additional module wont be there if you did not get the 5 cameras in the 1st place - it's not cheap to retrofit the multi camera system.

Yes it's via the extras/4x4 screen. I just wish the camera was like my wife's Qashqai and had an air and water jet to clean it.
SBD4's post confirms what I suspected. I assume this module enables the multiple camera feeds.

If you're really keen, here are the main components. You would need to also consider looms, brackets, different wing mirrors, modified front bumper etc

    LR043493 rear camera
    LR031826 wing mirror camera (x2)
    LR031816 front camera (x2)
    LR041416 surround camera control unit
    Cheers,

    Sean

If you can access the reversing camera "anytime", could you not install a "diverter" switch to select between a rear or front camera feed?
