Thanks Richard. I'll get myself some of those.

Let me know if you want a better pic of them.
My car is a 5 seater, not sure if that makes any difference.
They don't hold much , but good for umbrellas and the likes
Richard
Hi,
I've been looking into those side nets and all evidence so far points to them only being available as part of the entire side trim piece, so a fair exercise in cost and effort.
Still exploring but no joy so far. May be something we'd have to custom manufacture ourselves...![]()

Hi mate, can you tell me if the rear seats in your car can fold completely flat and level with the boot like the 7 seaters do? Do you know if a conversion to 7 seats is possible (or can you swap the rear seats from 60/40 to the 35/30/35)?
Paul
The seating works different with a 5 seater however you may be able to convert to a 7 seater, I am unsure. I did not notice any where to bolt seats in but was not looking for them
The seats do fold flat but not like a 7 seater.
The base of the seat folds up and sits vertically behind the front seats and the back part of the seat folds down level with the boot floor
However it does leave a gap between the boot and the seat. In the 7 seater this is covered up by the boot cover base but does not with the 5 seater
I will post pics if you want but am on the road at the moment and back is full of stuff
Richard
Thank you Richard for the info! I will PM you some questions as it seems your car is similar in spec to one I am looking to buy
Just as a matter of interest, was surprised to discover yesterday that the luggage area in the back of the D4 is quite a bit narrower than that in the D2.
Ages ago I bought and fitted a set of Boab drawers / removable plastic boxes to the D2. The young bloke was around here with the D2 yesterday, and as he is soon to sell it and replace with an Amarok, we decided to remove the drawers and fit them in the D4. I had the set of drawers installed as far as I could to the right hand side of the D2 and there was easily enough room to pack a couple of full size jerry cans next to the drawers on the left side.
In the D4, nowhere near the same amount of room on either side of the drawers. I have to mount centrally and there is only a very small gap down either side (might just be able to squeeze my fold-up solar panel into one of these gaps).
But at least in the D4, it all lines up perfectly with the four tie-downs in the back, so securing the drawer set in using 4 x turnbuckles will be a breeze.
Now to decide whether to pull out the third row of seats so that I can store more gear underneath the drawers ............................
Cheers .........

And the D2 is also way higher. When i first got the D4,i had heaps of dramas fitting stuff in for long camping trips.Nothing would fit where it used to.
After 3 yrs,i have at last got it all sorted
And i haven't worried about pulling out the never used third row, probably a bit lazy and as there is only two of us(and the dog),we seem to have heaps of room as it is.
