Easily fixed with a strip of LED lights stuck across the top.
LR improved the height control with V2 TR having 2 off-road heights in the current RRS and RRV and presumably will use the same module in the D5. However to date the off-road heights are still not very useful with the speed and height restrictions as well as not being able to select OR1 itself, only by default when the speed is too high for OR2 which is quite low so perhaps not that much of an issue.

I agree with all above
Perhaps LR could offer an option pack for Remote Area Travel= a "RAT" pack including most of suggestions already made including those above. It could come in 2-3 levels to suit customer needs- some may simply want 18" rims/tyres + better range; others full remote touring capability with expedition rack, bull bar (a decent one), 2nd spare wheel (carrier), water proof snorkel,DBS, Off road mapping etc. With factory warranty I would think such an option pack(s) would sell well. I suggested it to my dealer a couple of years ago.....he laughed....obviously selling enough without this idea- pity!
Defender MY21 D300 SE: Off Road Pack,Explorer Pack, OEM Bull Bar, GME XRS, Tow Pro Elite, Ironman winch, spotlights & light bar, front undershield, Tough Ant 18" brake conversion kit: BFG K02 LT265/70/18
Gone: Fuji White MY14 HSE; Silver D3 MY09 TDV6 SE
I would like to see
1. the option of 17" wheels
2. A decent tow hitch placed in the rear bar like the Land Cruiser
3. A larger fuel tank say 90-100 lts
4. Space for a second battery, as in the D3
5. Retain current rear tailgate but make it open level with the back floor
6. Interior lights which go out like the D1 when doors are left open

D3 done 195000 kms (lots of outback roads/tracks) and no rattles
Whilst some of the suggestions would be nice, I would just like to see the range and choice of third party options you see for Toyota vehicles for example.
I have a brand new MY15 D4 and have been looking at starting the fun part of buying a new vehicle - setting it up....
It sounds like in the dash and also somewhere in the A pillars also around the passenger seat, the problem for me is a 500km return trip to the dealer and just not driving the car much any more and not having time to do the trip!! But i will get onto it soon.
Agree mine started early there was one under the steering column fixed that myself and just general squeaks and movement as you go over a gutter and so forth also going up a dirt road can hear them to!! Where as took a mates 200 series with 210000kms for a drive no squeaks or rattles and believe me I'm the biggest toyota non lover around but, i agree for the price it does annoy me lots to!! Im hoping when they bring out a new model I'm guessing D5 they will make a new dash and fix it up.
Hopefully in a week or 2 i will!!
Im the same as well dont have time and live 500km return trip from my local dealer so its a bloody pain in the backside!! My lexus i had a few years ago brand new never had any and my wifes Q5 with 140000kms she just got off a friend of ours and its been dirt roads and around has none at all!! Ill just have to try and find time and fit it in to do it!
You lot are soft...
My local dealer is 800km return.
My preferred dealer is 2,800km return.
If you are that time poor I feel for you...
The hitch point to were the recovery hook is. (I know the Mitch Hitch does this however it is ugly and not suitable for recovery use)
The wheel sizes. (18s at the least)
The smallish tyre sizes, 32" plus without mods would be nice.
The center console fridge should be bigger and cool better.
The stupid software which drops the suspension to the bump stops for some fairly unrelated problems.
An off road pack which includes sill and underbody protection.
Steering wheel paddles and a gearstick.
Ventilated seats would be nice.
