On the highway the Q5 3.0L are bloody fantastic on fuel ours gets down to I think about 7.9 but the computer which is pretty damn close to actual. It's been economical this month as its sat at the dealer hahaha

Hi Silvad4, I have every drop recorded from 0 to 33000 km, around town consistently 10.0 to 10.2 l/100km, 100km/h interstate on cruise, lightly laden about the same, I guess the stop start penalty is replaced by the aerodynamic penalty , towing the 3.2 ton full height van at 95km/h or so is a bit harder to tie down but 18 or so. It is very dependent on speed and wind. I have had a best of 15 l/100km and a worst of 22 into a gale, but I budget on 18.
Hope this helps, it was good to read this thread and see others getting the same. Agree with the earlier comments re the trip computer, one can only conclude that it is a deliberate act of deception by LR.

I have found that the numbers go up when you add in a bit at 120-130kph

    Real kms

Is everyone adding in the fact that your speedos are lying to you as well, at 100 on the dash what does your GPS on your phone say. SO it could go something like this -

    700 kms / 70 lts = 10 l/100
if your speedo is out 6 kph like most that would equate to
    658 real kms / 70 ltrs = 10.63 l/100

D4 odometers are normally spot-on whereas the speedometer and consumption each use a fudge algorithm.

Speedo for our market is +3% + 2 kph but mine's been changed to +2% + 0 kph.

Well I generally set my cruise on 112kph to get a gps speed of 107kph so I'm not to sure they are that accurate.

Our experience on speedo error is 4kph, even the dealer said to set the speed alert at 116kph and that corrects back to 112kph on the GPS. At the moment with 8,000km on the clock ours has been averaging around 9.7 at 100kph and we see around 15 with the Ulti on the back at 110kph

Litres per 100km, actual is pretty close to the computer readout, but light around 1-2l per 100 depending on conditions but an average to plan on at the moment

Don't they just. Driving ours back home last year, when we hit the 130kph zones on the Barkley and Stuart ...

I'd say I'm averaging around 9.5 in general. Will drive to Darwin later in the year and see how it goes, the Cooper Zeon LTZ tyres don't seem to have effected consumption.

My experience matches yours but I have not noted any discrepancies in the odometer, ie speed, it over reads, but distance traveled is pretty much spot on (OEM tyres)

Yeah i believe my speedo is the same as well but i use a GPS speed tracker on my phone over a few kms to get an average speed.
