It would also be helpful,if the trailer could be made to track the tow vehicle.
This would be helpful, particularly in sand.

I loanedTrackTrailer (the makers of the Tvan) an 18" rim so that they could fabricate a hub to suit. They might be willing to help.

    Cheers

Any idea how close the D3/D4 track is compared to a D2???
My unfinished camper trailer has a D2 matched track/wheels.
    Thanks

Yes they can be made to fit parallel bearing hubs, the hub needs a small amount machined off it (irrelevant to strength) and a spacer plate made 12mm thick (use 12mm longer studs).

In fact it's easier than fitting D2 wheels.

Ring Coopers and ask for a D4 wheel conversion on a trailer, see who's number they give you

    And it's legal

Pointless going to all that trouble if the rims don't fit the car, and it may be legal in NSW with an engineers report, but that means nothing in QLD.

What are you on about? The rims are genuine D4 wheels, unmodified.

With all due respect, just because you can't figure it out Baz, doesn't mean it's impossible...

    18" rims don't fit the 3.0l D4

As far as I'm aware, aren't spacers illegal and aren't mods like this, require an engineers cert.
    Cheers Baz.

Had a look - spacers on trailers don't seem to get a mention...

Yeah I did notice that, what do you think in regards to needing an engineers cert, would this mod need it??
