Thank you for the additional pictures

I think I've decided I'm going to go with the 2128mm x 1236mm backbone system.

I'm really surprised by the low offical weight limits especially when you see the factory expedition fit outs LR have done.....

    75kg is less than the Pajero's 100kg ....

We had some great trips in it and it was such a brilliant vehicle that of course its hard not to miss it to some degree. I am having so much more fun with the Defender though I haven't regretted the decision at all.

    Cheers,

Hi Steve, great photos of the backbone mounts. I was wondering if you had any photos of the plastic drilled out bigger??
As I've just bought the same and don't want to remove the plastic either.
    Many thanks Michael.

I had the Rhino Aero bars - just used the same legs and attached the small pioneer tradie - not sure the backbone would go lower

Can somebody with a Rhino Backbone take some measurements for me please.
I'm wondering if I can mount a Land Rover Expedition rack to them.
The Expedition rack is wider at the front than the rear.1200mm front and 1130mm rear(its current used bolt holes).
Was wanting to know the same measurements on the Backbone.ie width of backbone at roof rack mount front and rear.
I'm thinking if the expedition rack is too noisy,or not suitable I can simply put a platform on later.
    Thanks
    Andrew

Does anyone have any height measurements for the back bone with the pioneer platform (D4).

In access height and std if possible.

    Cheers
