    Hi guys
For my roof platform I used rhino tradie bars (3 of them) and had a local security door manufacturer make a "door" to fit less the insect mesh. Bolted it to the bars with 6 mm mush head screws into flat nuts which slide into roof racks
Works really well with light weight and a fraction of the cost of proprietary platforms only adds 25 mm to the height of the bars and gives lots of tie down points to the mesh (even came powder coated in black)

Can anyone with the backbone let me know how high it sits from the roof at the rear? I have a sunroof at the front and the DAB antenna at the rear. I reckon that I'll need 60mm to clear both items, but the backbone looks lower than that.

Lowest part of the platform to the roof is 50mm

Thanks Shane - really appreciate it. I had no luck finding specs online, and the guys at the shop didn't inspire confidence (they were more interested in how "mad" the backbone would look).

Which it does, of course, but mad looks won't necessarily make it fit.
