I should have mentioned that I have Scotts extension lead which makes it much less of an interference.
Refer here re extension lead:

I am still happy to have both the iiD tool and Llams due mainly for Llams convenience.
Cheers,

As well as the usual code reading, suspension adjusting and fault finding.
It's good for life values, from injectors, to air temperature readings.
I've used mine to update software when I changed from the Hitschi to AMK compressors. I can deflate the corners to get it into a mates garage to go on his 2 post ramp.
Something not mentioned yet is the ability to do basic code reading on other cars.
Mine is locked to my 05 D3, but I've read codes, cleared faults on 5 D3s, 1 D4 and 1 L322.
I can't do in depth checks but for basic reading it's saved them all ?60 a turn for code readings and pin pointed faults for them.
Always handy for when in a group, got me a few free pints.![]()
Hi Guys
We have an item in the FAQ showing how to manually control the air suspension: https://www.gap-diagnostic.com/faqAnd another consideration .... depending on the issue, the clearing of faults can allow you to remain mobile and get to the next town rather than be stuck or on the back of a truck.
It doesn't mean the problem is fixed but at least you can continue and get to a safer location. There are some minor faults (height sensor, wheel speed sensor) that can lead to a quite conservative limp mode and the tool would be of assistance in these cases.
Topic: Is it possible to manually control the air suspension?
Quite handy to get out of a bad situation or:
-Washing the car
-Raising the vehicle for maintenance (always use jack stands)
-Levelling the vehicle in order to use a roof tent
-Lowering it when transporting the vehicle on a ferry
-etc...
This would be a first, could I have the link to your thread and post it in our FAQ if it's ok with you? Also, my compressor failed completely the other day, and the car dropped to the bump stops. I was able to plumb my tyre compressor into the EAS compressor outlet, and using my IID Tool BT on my phone to open the EAS valves manually while pumping in air.
Cheers
