Paint the wheels silver before you fit the tyres. Then they will look GREAT.

Can't stand this black wheel fashion statement! They just look dirty to me.

Guess I'm just too old now!

Yes I don't think I could resist giving them a coat of hammertone silver either before I got tyres fitted.

Well, had a good day yesterday. Started as usual at 5am when the alarm went off, made a coffee ☕️ and headed off to work to do some work on my baby 🚙.

Have been trying to clean the car seats for some time now. Time, work and health keeps not lining up,, so this weekend it did.

In the first pic you’ll see the seats are really dirty We both work with silicone, and I have the extra bonus of being a maintenance fitter, so at the end of the day, we’re stuffed and dirty. This of course transfers to the nice and comfortable Almond Ivory leather. (I still pay her out for not letting get the Windsor Leather,, haha 😂, no heated seats for her )
Yeah yeah, I know, I could at least put seat covers on. I have a set sitting at home,, lambswool no less but I really love the feel of the leather, but we’ll probably put them on just before we start our trip.

So so as you can see, the seats are filthy.

I chose to use Bowdens products to work with the leather, and I think it’s done a good job. Took a bit of work, and to get it done correctly, I actually needed to use a shoe brush to get into all the little books and crannies of the texture of the leather. The pads etc that they promote don’t really get in when the going tough. Been there, tried that. Some quick research on Google lead me to some good info on this procedure.

So, you’ll see the part job done, which sort of really shows just how dirty the seats 💺 are, and how well they’ve come up. Pretty happy with the end result, but I’ll need to do them again I guess to get them right, but a huge difference, and hopefully now I can keep a better eye on it. The filth kind of sneaks up on you unfortunately.

Bit of a bonus going into work at the usual time was I got to see the Blood Moon 🌙
It takes a bit over a half an hour to get to work in the morning, so checking this out was cool 😎 and watching over the half hour or so that I did, I pretty much got to see the whole process, well the important parts anyway.

After cleaning the seats and around the front section of the interior, it was time to wash her.

Usual wash with nothing special, just a bucket of hot water with soap and plenty of elbow grease,, although, I was feeling it last night, and especially today

End results speak for themselves I think 🤔 but I’m looking forward to doing a cut and polish a bit later in the year.

Tuesday should see the fitment of my new TuffAnt rims and tyres, and once again she will look 👀 smick as,, as well as being exceptionally capable. (Now I just need to learn to drive her capably)

We we’re heading for the Berwick LR brunch on Saturday morning, so the cars clean, just needed to get myself clean and changed, and we’d be there.
A tad disappointed 😔 with the event. We rocked up, and there’s like nothing happening. They had a D1, a D2 and a D4 there on show, and of course, the “All new Discovery” ( today was all about the Discovery line up). Nice cars, but I fail to see what a couple of “plain Jains” are going to do to win customers. I think they could have done a whole lot better. The guys of which there seemed to be plenty of, were all grouped together talking their own stuff whatever that was, and not engaging with us anyway. We’re actually fairly well known here as we’ve bought cars and looked at other cars for our daughter as well.
I’m hoping that they had a good day anyway,, but it wasn’t for us, so we went for a good
    drive.
Was a beautiful day, didn’t venture far as such, but covered a few miles, had a good feed at the bakery in Pakenham, and then over towards Inverloch and back home.

All in all, a good day, both productive and relaxing 😌.
