Gaps between doors and GOE sliders

There is a gap between the seal at the very botton of the doors and the GOE sliders on my D4 that results, when off road, in mud coating the bottom if the door up to the main door seal.

Has anyone found a solution to reduce this mud ingress?

Yes.... replace bottom lip on door with D section pinch weld and adhere some D section to the slider.

Would the same be required for the APT sliders as well?

Thanks Tombie, by D section pinch weld, do you mean this type of D section rubber seal?

Yes.. but less need if your sliders have the underplate as they reduce mud splash

I fitted a D profile rubber seal to the door. Been on for about 18 months and still going strong.

I hadn't actually seen anything on this topic when I made a new thread about my amazing invention, only to find that Rich had beaten me by 4 years.

    Cheers,

Tombie, what do you mean? Do you have a D with the rubber clip on to the door frame to replace the whole piece, rather than sticking on to the existing piece?
