From memory I got front and rear akebono pads for the d3 for $140 delivered of eBay a few years ago. They looked genuine, and perform fine.
Must've fallen off the back of a truck somewhere...

Guessing they were generic branded rotors then? The DBA streets were $300 alone for front and rear.
Here's the current eBay link from the same seller i purchased from:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Akebono-...MP6g:rk:1:pf:0
and
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Akebono-...ac9A:rk:1:pf:0
They come to around $200AUD shipped total.
Doesn't list the 2.7 D4.
i will send them a message,see how i go.
Checked a few other Ebay sites, and they are similar,no mention of my model.I don't know if D3 is the same, maybe not?
Maybe i will call Akebono Aust, and find out part numbers i need, and go from there.
Mines the 2.7l D4 and this is what is in my purchase history from 2 years ago if that helps (EUR 1099 and EUR 1098). They don't come with new shims or sensor wires though (if worn through). I'd try source new shims if i were you, others have had the pads (any type) shift around causing a clunk. They are included in the box of some cheaper priced pads. . .
They could have been but they said akebono on them and they have been "dustless" ie the dust is white, not black, and there's not as much of it.
When I received them I thought they were genuine.
I found the ebay purchase record and it was $67 for feont and $58 for rear, delivered. The listing is so old it wont open anymore though so i can post any pictures.
Sorry Dan, I was meant to reply to Crawals comment on getting pads and rotors for under $500 combined. Seams a bit cheap, although I went for the DBA streets as I wasn't keen on risking the knock off rotors on eBay...
Your prices are about the same as what i paid when shipping is included, they came to $200 total for pads only.
I fitted RDA rotors and TRW pads on the front for $200/set , pads are very low dust and rotors fine after nearly 2k.
That's a good run on factory pads and rotors. My experience is similar, I changed the factory items out at 128,000kms. Now on DBA rotors and Bendix pads, HD front and std rear. At 186,000kms and the fronts need to get changed out. So 60,000 kms is not too good.
