What the? Been done for an eternity. As long as your discs are over minimum thickness then no issue. Feel free to skim them if you’re worried about bedding, but in the one million km I’ve driven it’s never been an issue.

I didn't know it was a problem putting new pads on the old rotaors. Is it because they are the kevlar pads?
I don't need new pads or rotors at this stage, but I was thinking of replacing with new pads on over Xmas.

    Reviving an old thread.
Some of the links don't work any more.

Does anyone know where a good place is to get Akebono pads, front and rear, for a 2.7 MY!2 D4?

Are the D3 part numbers the correct pads or are they different for the 2.7 D4?

    Thanks in advance.

I ended up getting mine from the states in eBay. I tried a local supplier first and they were ridiculously priced. Was willing to pay a bit more, but not nearly double.

20,000 km later and they've barely worn a millimetre.

What model vehicle do you have?

    IS it the 2.7 D4?

Yes i have noticed them on Fleabay, and i know Pedders have them.

    Any links,or part numbers for 2.7 D4?

The eBay sites are a bit vague.

Interesting. I was quoted $850 for the Bremtec pads alone, which is why i ended up with the Akebonos for half that. I assume you mean $500 for the rotors and another $500 for the pads Crawal? Even my Subaru Forester cost more than $500 for a disc and pad combo lol. I find the standard non slotted or drilled rotors fine, anything else would be a waste of money unless trying to clear mud if you go over a lot of mud terrain.
