A neighbour of mine has a very nice D4, except the engine died a violent death recently.
If your engine wasn’t damaged maybe you could buy it and do a transplant?

    alternatively...

a client of mine is looking to sell his absolutely mint top spec limited edition D4 with 84k on the clock.

Im in the Blue Mountains and so are they.
PM me if you want me to put you in contact with either of them.

Before hanging ****** on insurance companies you need to wait and see what the OP outcome is.
As I posted earlier when the weight of the carport and tree is lifted off and vehicle removed it 'may' be fixable.
Some insurance companies just write off but Ive been in the 4wd game for many years and seen a few rolled ones repaired to a good standard. Similar structural damage.

OP if you are really att to it get a quote to see if its repairable and if so get the $$ from ins co.

Many thanks for the great response. There are a number of interesting options which I will consider. I am working through the claim with the insurers at the moment but my ex-pride and join has not been assessed yet. I will give an update in due course but it may take some time.
    Cheers

Maybe a new roof panel and windscreen is the only major parts needed?

Worth getting a quote from a competent workshop.

    Couldn't agree more.

A competent panel shop should be able to replace the roof panel and windscreen.

The important key to a repair may well be if the front "A" pillar has been creased and would be near impossible to repair/replace back to original strength.

I hope the insurance company organise a good quote for you and discuss all options with you.

    Cheers

    684 kms

Actually there was a 6 year old D4 on Carsales recently that had just 600 odd kms .... they'd driven it home and never moved it again. But you would've had to change all the fluids.

The A pillar is high tensile steel. ARB Northern (Melb) had serious trouble drilling into it on my MY12 HSE to mount Safari snorkel. They had to use a diamond tip drill finally after destroying every HSS (even cobalt stuff) drill bits to no avail. Toughest they had ever encountered on any prior 4x4 to install a snorkel & werent ever going to attempt again. So i doubt it is repairable if it was damaged.

Looks to me like the A pillar has deformed, look at where the top of the drivers door is in relation to the roof/pillar structure.

Anyway its a dam shame to have your car destroyed like that, but on the bright side at least it wasnt destroyed in a fashion that would have had you inside it
