Put in some new rear toe rod links the other day. Needs a wheel alignment now
Bugger. these engines can be rebuilt. Whether its cost effective or not is another discussion.
From the OPs post sounds like the crank is buggered. Replacing crank and offending big end bearings is the cheapest solution, provided it hasn't thrown a "leg out of bed". Trying to restart can and will cause more damage.

I'm guessing given a give way price such as 5k for a one owner D3 it's not that viable or perhaps too risky given the damage may be terminal.
Of course there's likely to be someone out there that will give it a go.
We did with a ZD30 GU..but never again as the job has cost waaay more than thought. Just swap the buggered (already) rebuilt engine out they said...for a TD42...ha ha...18 months later and we're still pumping time and money into it. No genuine heads left in the World...blocks fragile..cranks weak..plus...Nissan rip off parts prices etc etc.
In reality if we costed out our time plus parts etc...the GU has cost more than our D4SC...and I know which car I'd rather drive.
Oh well🙄
Starting getting P006A error this week...found throttle body split at Y after some basic fault finding.
3.0 TDV6
Now to find a replacement fairly quickly... Not sure what dealer charge for these. UK suppliers do them as an exchange now I would just prefer to buy as daily driver...
Suggestions for WA?

Checked my rear left fog light today after I noticed some moisture in it after the last car wash, I'd spent a few days driving to work with the foggies on to dry it out, which seems to have worked as mine are the old incandescent type not LED's. Now I might look in to getting them lacquered, due to hairline cracks, as I've heard some of the headlight restorers do, or replace with new, although I have a feeling that might be expensive!
