    1. Top radiator hose - in spite of asking for it to be checked/replaced.
    2. Gear selector module = truck ride.
    3. Today - transmission goes into neutral while driving along in ‘D’ or ‘S’. Roll to a stop. Put in ‘P’ and back into ‘D’ - and away it goes again for another 100/50/10/5/1/0.1 km until it does it again.

We are 330 km from home after a 2700 km trip - waiting for the tilt tray truck again.
So when I turned the engine off for the Disco to be loaded on the tilt tray truck - the electrics died! Vehicle stuck in park! Fortunately I knew from recent experience how use the emergency release to lock it in neutral.

The 4 hrs I waited for the tilt tray truck to arrive I spent reading up on 200 Series Landcruiser wagons!

Three trips for three breakdowns and two truck rides - time for a new vehicle!

I feel your pain - take a 200 for a spin, if you like it, problem solved. If you don’t, you’ll happily hand over cash to keep the disco running, and again, problem solved What happened to your D3/D4 today?

Owning a Disco is like having an exotic, high maintenance lover - you will likely end up with a broken heart and an empty wallet!

Changed a few things with my recently home built slide and drawer system.
Cut out (wonky) holes on the side walls to allow easier access for tightening turnbuckles:

Added a platform for charging all our cameras / laptops / work gear (for weekdays):

I designed the box with just enough space to fit the 12V distribution box (Kings box is huge but too well priced to ignore) which runs through an iTechworld DC-DC charger to a 140A/H battery mounted beneath the right rear seat, a compressor & water pump which is connected to a 55 litre flexible bladder stored beneath the drawers:

I have ordered a sheet of flexible heat shield to sit between the compressor and back seat as they tend to get a bit warm.
Also installed a 3 colour LED light strip from Hard Korr in the rear door:

Whacked on the solar charging TPMS from OBD2 Australia (also purchased their scan tool). The gear seems to work pretty well, can't say much about the customer service though...

Slowly making head way installing all the bits and pieces I need for the Cape trip in August. A few more goodies on the way and a couple more DIY items to help keep the cost down. Here's a couple with the drawers and fridge slide loaded:
