Super ModeratorQuite a bit of diagnostics trying to find out why it didn't work out of the box, then modifying the supplied wiring loom to make it :
A ) work
B ) fit
Still, good outcome.

And the factory power steering cooler is being annexed for this:

Super ModeratorI bought it direct from Naviplus, but I think one of their promo videos for it was done by Cameron. I probably paid a bit much at $1k with the steering wheel control and wireless CarPlay option, but it did come with a pretty comprehensive “plug and pray” harness even if it needed modifying to work.
Edit: It turns out the LVDS plug from the box to the original nav unit isn't keyed, so muppet here had it plugged in backwards. I now have the ability to switch between the new box and the old Nav, so I haven't lost any function. Despite it's crusty old maps, I really like the inbuilt Nav and it does most of what I need it to do, especially when heading out of town.
I originally had the GVIF on top of the stereo and the CarPlay box in the glove box, but a bit of shuffling around sees the CarPlay box fit neatly on the right side of the center console, under the vent and up against the cluster. So it's now neatly hidden (until the fascia comes of upon where it looks like a birds nest). Maybe when the reversing cam arrives and I go to hook that up I might tidy up the mess. Certainly need a much shorter HDMI cable.

SupporterReplaced the number plate rear lights to LEDs, original on the left side, new LED on the right hand side - makes a huge difference. Bit fiddly getting the new one housed in its location properly but with a little time slots in.

SupporterSo the D4 is throwing up two error codes for the suspension see pics 1 & 2
1. pressure does not decrease when venting gallery C1A13 on my icarsoft reader
2. rear right height sensor - C1A06
now this vehicle has had a new genuine rear air susp valve block plus two new rear height sensors fitted in 08/20.
It does also seem to drop the suspension overnight though have not measured or pulled the fuse to see whats going on but think it may be the front dropping, will test tonight.

Just ordered a Gap IID tool from Island4x4 after just guessing and trying to reason what was wrong for the last two or so years. Hopefully this thing will pay for itself...
