    Thanks

    Ok thanks but...

wires seem like they are connected electrically but how does it heat up the water if the water pipes is not connected to it?
And where is the switch on the dash to switch on/off?

Am I missing something or do all the D4's have this and then if heated washers are requested on the build additional piping is connected to it? cheers again

It’s not connected to anything. Those are blanking plugs. You don’t have the heated washers heads.

    Lubrication of Nylock Nuts

To lubricate a Nylock nut would be a first for me, the critical criteria when using these nuts is the number of use sequences which is normally discard after three.

The bolts supplied were inferior quality.

Got out the heat gun to reshape the lh guard liner so it doesn't rub on the tyre, also bent and welded the washer bottle bracket to bring the bottle more forward so I can attach the liner bottom to the bar capping but I need to reshape the upper brackets and that requires the bar to come off or at least swing forward - job for another day.

I sprayed some Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber Care on the black plastics of my D3 today, plastic is notably darker and looks shiny, like if wet, I'll see how long it lasts and if it attracts dust.

Restricted Performance event on a hot day. P2082-00

Coming over the Blue Mountains last Thursday, after rolling most of the way down from Mt Victoria using my gears for breaking, got this warning. I didn’t feel any real change in the driving but don’t really drive too hard.

I stopped and checked the codes and got this:

    10F2B038-5F98-4496-9721-FF00D60F1FDE.jpg

Fault cleared without returning. The temp on the day was 35C+. Car was loaded but not towing.

Is this a sign of things to come or more of a hot day thing.

Has anyone raptor coated the black D3 wheel trims? I think I read someone did the windscreen wiper plastic panel. Is the texture rougher than the current trim finish?

Out of the spray version the finish will be rougher.
If you buy the tins, mix and thin appropriately then a smoother finish is possible.

Correct, and depends on air pressure if you're spraying. When I had my D4, I did windscreen cowl, engine covers, under tray for transmission ( as we had some left and didn't want to waste it). Ended up doing a set of LR wheels too. Looked great imho and very wear resistant. Photos are i here somewhere.
