SupporterI’ve been a longtime lurker on the forum and haven’t posted a lot but I just want to thank everyone for the information that is available via a little bit of searching. I was away earlier this week around 700km from home and suddenly my low coolant light came on so I topped it up but couldn’t find a leak but could smell coolant. Long story short I made it home used 7 litres of coolant ended up removing the coolant bottle cap as with it left on I would need to top up every 30km but with the cap removed and taking it easy I got around 150km. So a quick search of the forum when I got home lead me to look in the valley and it was full of coolant so yesterday I replaced the thermostat housing manifold. I’ve had my D4 SDV6 for 9months it’s frustrating at times but there is nothing else like it and I’ve found quite a bit of information off this forum that has been very helpful. Thanks again everyone.

Saw this a bit late but I got a D34 from Challenge battery's in Osborne Park for $390. Came equipped with a lifting strap as well to make things easier to do the job but didn't realise it would come off the new one easy and could be fitted on the old battery in place to do that.
But I managed and put the new one on charge with the C-Tek now we should be OK for our trip next week.

SubscriberMy only experience is with the 4HP, but it was a clear warning. Been three years now, but I "think" the colour was different. There's always a micrometer, Nick.
This one was a blueish colour.

This one was closer to black.

I don't care if you choose not to check, I simply posted what I was told.

Post Apple Car play install, and wanting to keep the install looking factory, I fitted the aftermarket microphone in the factory location.
The problems became apparent when over 60km/h the new microphone picks up roof resonance due to its profile and design.
I sketched this little bugger up in Fusion and printed it out.
Microphone is an interference fit, and now all openings to the microphone are directed only to the cabin.
I also have some acoustic foam due in the morning to further keep roof noise down (pics to follow)
