Just ordered a similar one from ebay - it says it's in Melbourne. We'll see if it's actually China lol [emoji7] Literally right before it broke I was thinking to myself "How great is it that my compressor hasn't played up since I serviced it two years ago." 30 seconds later...Quote:

Eventually got around to taking the disc off and found this Attachment 187322Attachment 187323
Fitted a Borg & Beck kit BBS6416....so all good.
The kit did not contain the very light spring that one of the original shoes had attached to corner near the lining.
One of these springs was badly stretched so presumably was making the tinkling noise.Apart from that no screeching noise and park brake worked ok!
Hardly any debris from the missing lining material.
One query with the Gap tool,could not find where to enter service mode.....only something about un-jam epb.
Took about a dozen+ goes to get into EPB bedding in mode!

Personally I don't care if it costs a few extra $$ because those spent $$ are considerably less than a tow from the middle of nowhere and worth it with less chance of a brake down
On one hand you are right. Sadly I think this argument could apply to the whole of the car though - at some point you need to draw a line and I'm sure everyone else here has their own line in the sand.Quote:

Watch out I think Friday the 13th extends for at least the weekend bit it's power seems to diminish with time. Yesterday the girl across the road backed into my car, luckily the corner of her bumper hit my front wheel.
Took my nephew away on the weekend for camping and to drive a few tracks in Rubicon forest and Toolangi, let him drive most of the time as he is on his learners.
Found some great fire break tracks in Toolangi off Black Range Road with some interesting descents down towards Buxton.
