Went and spoke with my panel guy…
$500 for the full roof. I just have to remove the rack.
My son's D3 did the same thing and it got REALLY hot, but survived and is still very much alive and uses no oil between 8,000km changes.
Suggest you insist to your Indie that the outlet is replaced and try for a re-start.
These engines seem to be able to take getting hot; some engines seem to get away with it whilst others can't; due to design (lots of head bolts and so forth) I guess.
Lost count of the number of Jaguar V12 engines I've seen overheat (they have many, many, water hoses to fail) yet still survive, but that maybe 'cos the heads and block are all alloy thus expansion and contraction tends to be in "unison". Haaa!
I find the low coolant warning is too subtle. Yes you get the information message, but it doesn’t really stand out - especially when it comes up whilst driving. Really should be an audible alert (even just a few bongs or until you acknowledge it).
dunno where to put this post, install today, it is not lightweight, going to put the foot on the ground, chain it back to the trailer, then pull it up using a car with a rope at the top, two men can stand a column up, but i only have partial use my left arm, so rigging is the way
Replaced the right front door locking mechanism today on my MY13 Disco HSE . It's only about 6months since I replaced the right rear one. I wonder which one will be next.
Cheers

I’m wonder with the articulation of the arms, how they’ll hold up on a Disco.
