Tell me about it. Wasn’t really thrilled by a heap of people all packed together. It was touch and go that they even held the event.

Kept my distance where possible, and work has decreed that our operating strategy will be quite isolated so regardless I’m relatively safe moving forward.

I must say I’m healthier than I’ve been in over a decade so should be able to beat SARS-CoV-2 should I become infected and my exposure to others will be zero so I shouldn’t provide any risk to others.

What happened to your D3/D4 today?

I posted some pics on the AULRO FB page, but I’m excited! I went to a local 4WD track (Jakem Farm) on the weekend and took the D4 for its 1st real off road experience. When I bought it there were no scratches or evidence off-road work. The previous owner said that it has only ever been a shopping car.

Now I know that the D2 is good off-road but I’d have to say that the D4 is way better. It happily crossed everything that I pointed it at. The traction control, rock crawl mode, and downhill hill assist just made thinks so easy and good. It makes me wonder if there’s any point of having a rear e-locker in this car. We’re happily climbed every hill that we pointed it at, some of which would have needed single or twin lockers on other branded 4wd’s.

It even happily climbed the off road track that we accidentally took on our way to the campsite - with the 1.8t off-road camper on the back. A bit of 4 wheel spin but made it up the hill.

Very happy. Just need some rock sliders and a compressor guard. Does anyone make as proper transmission guard for the 8 speed?
