    New battery after the 5.5yo RAA battery gave up delaying my trip home from work one night when I was running late, had an average day, and just really wanted to go home. Replaced it with the recommended Century AGM that was on sale for $410ish.

    I reset my BMS with my iid, but I’ve noticed that the main battery is not charging generally over 12.7v. Prior to the battery change it was consistently 14.5v. The Aux is controlled by a Projecta idc25x and a solar panel and it’s getting up to 14v or so when needed.

    Did I do something wrong when I reset the BMS?

    Is the battery monitor cable disconnected?

    Is that the cable at the front that looks like a drain hose? If so, yes, because the plastic cap is stuck inside the new battery and I’m having trouble removing it. I thought it was a vent hose so I didn’t see the hurry.

    just out of curiosity, what year and how many km on it?

    I am asking because I do big trips and often remote so a relatively reliable car is vital and in the process of deciding whether to throw big coin at a 10 year old D4 to replace everything that is a show stopper or buy a new 4wd

    That will be the vent hose.
