One of my clients 2015 D4 blew a turbo... estimated cost of repair is $10k

						SupporterI had my primary turbo replaced about 18 months ago plus a couple of other minor items replaced while the body was off, I was quoted $7k for the job but the final price came in at $6200. From memory the turbo (garret) was $2750.
Depending on how badly it was “blown”, if any shrapnel has been sent into the intercooler you may want to replace this as well so this could add an extra $1K in parts (if using genuine parts).
Then hope the intercooler stopped anything getting into the engine.
Hate to think of the scenarios if it was a secondary turbo failure (which at low boost outputs to the primary turbo potentially damaging both).
