Funny thing happened yesterday. I went out with the Range Rover Club and stopping facing downward on a steep track I applied the hand brake. There was much grinding noises but the hand brake worked and subsequently released. !5 minutes later I applied the brake on a steep hill and the same noise. But this time the brake would not release. I took away the cup holders and pulled on the handbrake eyelet and the brake released, but the brake warning light flashed, the red triangle was lit and drivers screen kept coming up with a message that the hand brake needed to be applied. 30 minutes later I stopped the car on a level surface and in auto mode I applied the brake, it worked and so has ever since. Do I need to do anything or do I just accept the gremlin has gone away and all is well? There is no warning light on now. Should I use my GAP tool and remove any warning code? Thanks
