Brownish stains. Not sure what it was but also used a toothbrush to get into the crevices.

I kept the old head of my electric toothbrush.
I use to to clean in and around the land Rover badge on my bonnet.

On my list also. That’s the flexible lines? How much? Please do a how to for us.

A week at Gnaraloo returning home yesterday straight through rolling through 230,000km on the odometer.

Clicking in and out of Sport for overtaking and in and out of cruise control got a engine system fault warning on the digital display (no warning lights) which cleared at next fuel stop. Gotta get me that IID Tool.

Every 3rd car going north was a white LC200 and most of the cars up there although a few were blue!

I found a very new LC buried deep (like a Turtle) in the dunes behind Turtles beach digging for 45 minutes with wife and 3 small children watching on. Had max tracks deployed. Made him acknowledge that the LR was having no such trouble circling around him and pulled him out in 2 minutes.

Many Prados also which seem to dig themselves into holes in beach sand. In our camp 5 Prados, my car and a 06 RR. Both LRs did the sand and dunes like they were on tank tracks compared to the others.

The Toyota’s must have similar gotchas as met a Disco4 from QLD doing a lap with no detailed idea of the TR system so when asked why the engine was cutting out in sand explained that the reason was they needed to also turn off and keep turning off the DSC to their amazement. It is a flaw for newbies and out of the packet drivers that Sand Mode doesn’t do that automatically.

    Handbrake (not that one!) adjusted

Handbrake started squealing at me. Had a look underneath, gave the old girl a bit of a tinker and she squeals no more. Then I had a look at the car........

    Speaking of tyres, will 285 60 18 fit on a D4?

Hi John. Short answer is a qualified yes, but at 31.5 diameter a bit tight and can hit wheel arch liners on heavy articulation or when on bump stops.
I have that size on the car from when I bought it and will be going a wee bit smaller ASAP.

There were a few negative comments about a month ago on here.

Got back from a 2400km trip from Adelaide north via Melrose & Farina to the Oodnadatta Track and on to Arckaringa Station and the Painted Desert. Then home via Coober Pedy and the Stuart Hwy. the D4 didn’t miss a beat and we had no problems at all. One tyre has a nasty cut in the sidewalk but it’s still safe until we change the tyres. No fault codes or other gremlins popped their nasty heads up. The TPMS took a lot of stress away - that was a good investment. It’s interesting to see how much tyres go up in pressure when they’re hot.
