Thread: What happened to your D3/D4 today?

Spent the afternoon working under the dash running new cabling and sorting my new set up for power distribution.

PDM60 going under the dash with a custom bracket, Tow Pro Elite screwed in rather than cable tied now.

2nd UHF antenna cable installed, just a few more wires to tidy up then I’ll program the PDM60 to the settings I want.

Itching with anticipation for the arrival of the install module for the new head unit.

There’s likely no end to the mods, although I’m really happy with how it’s progressing.

Well, not quite what's happened today, but over the last 3 days the D4 has moved us and the van from Adelaide to Alice Springs, GCM approx 6500kg (depending on fluids load), 100kph set on the cruise control which is an actual speed of 95kph using 18l/100 in comfort and reasonable quietness considering the roof adornments.

This happened. Pressure washer over a deeper than thought scratch. Pulled up what I think is clear coat? Or would this be my paint protection that was applied to the car? Advice for this very sad man?
