Yes, the screw could pro'ly be wound out, and one of those little roofing rubbers put on it to seal it up!

Back in Rockingham WA after 1100km jaunt thru the SW of the state, valley of the Giants, Walpole, surf coast and several other places . D3 went well, think it’s in shock from taking more than 5 minutes for the temp gauge to move each morning due to single figure temps. The new Falken AT tyres went well thru the gravel/muddy tracks, were sure footed on the wet roads so hopefully they will do well on our homeward journey

Few jobs to do before we take off for our trip back to Darwin, need to track down windscreen washer pump and couple other odds and sods, but nothing that should cause to many issues.

    rear door locking mechanism fixed

My wife mentioned that the rear door wasn't locking or unlocking and seeing this is where the car seat is thought i better get to and fix itB brought a OEM part for the UK delivered within 4 days, very happy with that, followed the you tube clip from powerfulkid. took about 1.5 hours being very methodical. all sorted and the rear door now locks and unlocks. Happy Days.

Alternatively, I could've wound it in a little tighter, put some latex in the tyre and I'd saved the repair cost and had some grip when I go to the ski fields.
