There is also one to stop the seatbelt alarm.
That one came from a Ford site,D3/4 had a huge amount of Ford input so there are probably others that originally came from Ford.

All done bar some small tweaks, I cut the table in half and added alloy angle with the hinge to help with flex.

I'm looking for a support leg the same as you have here. Where did you get that one from?

Its just an adjustable tent pole, it came with the drifta kitchen and i cut down another pole to get a little more height. I need a bit more so i'll use the other end of a pole to give me another 15cm of height.

the new locking motor arrived on Friday and I fitted it to the diff as well as putting in nice new e.diff oil special oil. Ran the test routine for the rear diff using the IID and cleared the faults. Faults remained clear thank goodness.

Has to wait 24 hours for the 3 bond sealant to cure before I could take it for a test drive so that was a Saturday afternoon job. All seemed fine, no faults.
Pull into the BP to fuel up and was about to put the nozzle in and a bloke yelled out that I had coolant ****ing out everywhere from the front. **** I thought. Backed it out, bonnet up and sure enough it was very wet in there but could not see from here.
Started it up and the culprit was found. The top hose that goes to the reservoir bottle had popped off. Easy fix and luckily had multi tool pliers in the glovebox. Refitted and pushed the butterfly clamp on further. Got a 4L bottle of demineralised water and topped up the radiator. So far it is fine but will need to do a radiator flush and redo the red OATs coolant at next service.

    cheers
    Me

Front brake rotor skim done on Sat and refitted, now with all wheel bearings and control arms replaced, full 4 wheel alignment done, drives like a new car.

Swapped out leaking oil cooler (what a mess!) and replaced glow plugs while I was at it, oil and filter changes.

Happy with myself and thought that should be it for a while......then noticed the drivers side inlet manifold has cracked about an inch long in the usual spot people report and starting to spray fine mist of mess etc. Wasnt there a week ago so just new and just started (no error codes yet)

Temp patched with some epoxy resin/carbon fibre cloth and strands to maybe buy me a few weeks.

Now to decide if I should attempt myself or not....Im not sure ive got the energy... Whats the going rate at an indy at the moment for this job - lots of hours (Perth or SouthWest WA)?

Go for it! You’re fully qualified expert level now.

Seems everyone reuses the fuel injector fittings with no trouble.

Do fuel pump belt at same time because access will never be better.

Did the glow plugs come out easy?

I went gently gently and glow plugs came out no problems at all, once loose just unwound by hand(phew) I had been spraying them now and then the last few weeks with WD40 "special" penetrating fluid and night before just in case.

Fuel pump belt was done ~ 3 years/55K ago when the front timing belt done - still worth doing? Not sure how my big hands are going to go at back of engine
