2007 D3 TDV6. Been getting EPB warning coming up, both the dash display and the yellow brake warning light. Sometimes the park brake works fine and other times it will take a long time to come on or will simply go into the fault.
No screeching noises from the rear at all.
I did the park brake shoes adjustment procedure on the weekend but the problem still presents. Possibly the shoes are worn down too low and the EPB module if not able to pull them on that far and faults out or need adjustment within the module?
Code below, possibly the park brake switch?

Sounds like the switch itself has failed on the console.
I agree with Tombie.
The switches can fail.
It's a five minute job on a D3.

I did nothing because the issue I had fixed itself, and Wow it feels good.
Maybe the threat of taking it to even colder environs, or burning it extremely slowly , or making it sit out the front of a toyota dealership actually scared the demon that has possessed it over the last few weeks into running for cover and going into whatever bottle it appeared from.
